Collaborated with internationally recognized artists, scholars and public intellectuals on a two-year podcast series inspired by FDR’s Fireside Chats. Sponsored by UCLA School of Performing Arts (year 1) and Blackwood Gallery of University of Toronto Mississauga (year 2).

 

Daring to Resist: Documentary Writer

Wrote feature-length PBS documentary about three Jewish teenage girls in different countries who joined the resistance movement during the Holocaust.

 

I Witness—Shot Down in Pensacola: Documentary Writer

Scripted first-person narration for feature-length documentary about the murder of a physician and clinic volunteer in what one reviewer called “a case study in religious terrorism.”

 

Passionate Voices: Documentary Writer/Producer/Director

Co-producer/director/writer of public television documentary (WYBE) about barriers inside the American Jewish community that prevent constructive dialogue and peace efforts for Israel and Palestine.

 

BirthDay on Discovery Health: Writer/Turning Producer 

Turned raw camera footage into detailed broadcast television scripts with narration and sync sound. Each half-hour episode covered live births with medical complications, in a major maternity hospital or birthing center. Series produced by Banyan Productions for Discovery Health. The Human Face of War: Writer, Copy & Photo Editor 

Writer/editor for American Friends Service Committee website covering impact of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Used raw reports from Middle East staff and local peace activists to generate weekly web stories. Also wrote and co-produced advocacy videos and wrote event-driven op-eds published in The Christian Science Monitor, Philadelphia Inquirer, and other national and regional newspapers.
